Economic Impact Analysis A Statewide Economic Impact Analysis utilizes economic modeling techniques to determine the economic impact of health center business operations on their communities, demonstrating that an investment in health centers is an investment in the community. It also includes sections on the PCA and health center's mission, services, challenges and opportunities and methodology. Reports may be tailored to meet the PCA's specific needs. Each participating health center also receives a complimentary baseline economic impact profile.
To highlight the valuable work of health centers during
National Health Center Week, Capital Link partnered with NACHC to complete
Individual Economic Impact Reports for over 850 health centers
across the nation. The custom reports, produced for all centers that completed
an FY09 IRS 990 Form, contain information on job creation and overall economic
impact—including direct, indirect and induced impact on local communities.
They also include key talking points on health centers as economic
engines and neighborhood anchors. In
the past, health centers have used this information to educate policymakers,
seek community support, and pursue funding opportunities.
