  • September, 2011. Article describes sustainable design.  FacilityCare, an online publication covering the design, operation and maintenance of healthcare facilities included an article in the September issue co-authored by Capital Link Operations and Facilities Planner Cindy Barr. Entitled "Sustainability Checklist for Community Health Centers," the article describes a project recently completed by a team assembled by international design firm Perkins+Will.   • September, 2010. Capital Link releases reports analyzing the financial health of California clinics. These reports were prepared for the California HealthCare Foundation. Click here to access the press release.

  • June, 2010. Capital Link was honored to receive the Ray Cockrill award at the 2010 annual conference hosted by the Community Health Centers of Arkansas. This award recognizes contributions to the advancement of Federally Qualified Health Centers in the state.

  • June, 2010. Cindy Barr, Capital Link project consultant, achieves EDAC Accreditation.  EDAC (evidence-based design accreditation and certification) is an educational and assessment program that tests individuals on their understanding of how to base healthcare building design decisions on credible research evidence and project evaluation results.  For more information on EDAC certification, visit http://www.healthdesign.org/edac/index.php.

  • June, 2010 Capital Link releases Selecting the Right Capital Project Financing, A Guide for Health Center Staff and Boards. This new publication, prepared by Capital Link, helps health centers determine the best mix of capital financing options for their projects. It includes a primer on health center capital financing, including how to estimate debt capacity and details on specific financing sources for equity, debt, and credit enhancement. It also provides information on what factors are important in determining which financing options to pursue and how to compare those options given the health center’s own particular needs.   • December, 2009. Capital Link awarded certification as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) from the U.S. Department of Treasury’s CDFI Fund.
