Mobile healthcare, also referred to as mobile health, mobile clinics, and mobile health units (MHUs), is an alternative, flexible, and cost-effective approach to bringing a wide range of healthcare services—such as medical, dental, behavioral, vision, and even mammography—directly to underserved and hard-to-reach patients. This report, developed with support from HRSA, reviews the basics of mobile healthcare and provides tools and guidance on where to begin in designing a mobile health unit. (Released 2025)
This publication, developed with support from HRSA, describes how Grace Health leveraged the HRSA Health Center Facility Loan Guarantee Program (LGP) to overcome barriers like aging infrastructure, fragmented services, and limited access to rural healthcare to complete two capital projects that reshaped their care delivery.
Developed in partnership with the HITEQ Center, this tool and accompanying guide help users document and evaluate both one-time and ongoing costs, assess funding sources, and compare system options—whether implementing new technology, upgrading, or analyzing current infrastructure.
